Course Content

Children discover the world of robotics and programming through play by building and programming various robot projects using LEGO® SPIKE™ robot kits.

The course consists of three modules—Logic (Sep–Dec), Motion (Jan–Apr), and Sensors (May–Jul). Together, they form a comprehensive robotics program, each offering new projects and challenges. The modules can be taken in any order.

Language: Dutch & English

What will you learn?

  • Motion • Jan–Apr

    Movement and Control
This module focuses on movement: how robots move and how you can control that movement using code.

  • Sensors • May–July

    Perceiving and Responding
Here, children discover how robots can use information from their environment and respond to it.

  • Logic • Sep–Dec

    Thinking and Decision-Making
This module focuses on logic: teaching robots to make choices, repeat actions, and handle situations more intelligently.

Robotics & Mechanics

Children build and program various robots using LEGO® SPIKE™ robot kits. They discover how robots work through play, learn to control them with code, and tackle a variety of new projects and challenges.

This is how they develop their technical understanding, logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Programming with Scratch

Children learn to program their robots using Scratch-based blocks in the LEGO® SPIKE™ app. Younger children (ages 6–7) start with icon blocks, while older children (ages 8–10) use text blocks to create more complex programs.

This is how they learn to control their robots, make them respond to sensors, and discover the basics of programming through play.
