Terms and Conditions

Welcome to "Bricks and Robots"! We offer fun and educational robotics courses for children, and we want to ensure that both you and your child have the best experience possible. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully, as they apply to the use of our services. By enrolling in our courses or making a payment, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, we ask that you refrain from using our services.

1. Registration and Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By registering your child for a course or making a payment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions. Registration and a guaranteed spot in the course will only be confirmed after payment has been successfully processed. Registrations without full payment do not guarantee a spot in the course.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and your continued use of our services following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Educational Materials and Intellectual Property

"Bricks and Robots" uses LEGO robotics kits such as LEGO SPIKE, in combination with computers and tablets, to create a fun and educational environment for your child. We follow LEGO’s official curriculum recommendations but do not sell or distribute any copyrighted material. All course content, including materials and instructions, is the intellectual property of "Bricks and Robots," unless otherwise indicated.

You agree not to:

  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this material for commercial purposes without written permission.

  • Republishing, selling, renting, or licensing materials from "Bricks and Robots."

  • You may record or share the content of lessons without prior permission.

Unauthorized use may result in legal action or termination of your subscription.

3. Child Safety and Parental/Guardian Responsibility

Your child’s safety is our top priority, but it is important to note that ā€œBricks and Robotsā€ does not provide childcare or after-school . Parents or guardians are responsible for:

  • Bringing the children to class and picking them up on time before and after class.

  • Please let us know in advance about any health issues, special needs, or learning difficulties.

We cannot be held responsible for your child’s behavior outside of scheduled class times or for incidents that occur due to a lack of supervision of your child outside of class.

4. Use of Photos and Videos

To share the fun and achievements of our classes, "Bricks and Robots" may take photos and videos during classes and events for promotional purposes. By enrolling your child, you give us permission to capture and use these images. If your child’s face is clearly visible, we will ask for your permission before posting the images online or in the media.

If you would prefer that your child not appear in photos or videos, please let us know in writing.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

We try to be flexible if you or we need to cancel a class. Please read the following policies carefully.

Cancellation by you

The full course fee must be paid in advance upon registration.

Trial Class / First Class
For children participating for the first time, the first class can be considered a trial class. If you decide to cancel within 48 hours of the first class, we will refund the remaining amount, minus an administrative fee of €35, within 10 business days.

After this 48-hour period, the full course fee is non-refundable.

If you cancel less than 7 days before the start date, we will still charge you for the first class plus an administrative fee.

Alternative to refund
Instead of canceling, you can also choose to move the course to another period or request a credit (voucher) for our courses or vacation camps - in which case no administration fee or fee for the first lesson will be charged.

Important:
This trial lesson and the refund policy apply only to new participants. Children who have previously taken a course are not eligible for refunds or trial lessons for subsequent enrollments.

Cancellation by "Bricks and Robots"

We reserve the right to cancel classes for reasons such as insufficient enrollment, overbooking, venue unavailability, or inappropriate behavior. In such cases, parents/guardians will be notified by email, and missed classes will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.

Cancellation Due to Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters or government measures), classes may be canceled without the right to a refund. In such cases, we will notify you of any changes as soon as possible.

The cancellation policy and trial period apply only to in-person classes and not to online classes.

6. Conduct and Exclusion from Courses

At "Bricks and Robots," we strive to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. However, we reserve the right to remove a student from the course if:

  • Intentionally damaging property.

  • They exhibit aggressive or dangerous behavior.

  • They do not follow the teacher's instructions.

In the event of intentional damage or theft, parents or guardians are required to reimburse the costs of repair or replacement.

7. Liability in the Event of Accidents

Although all activities at "Bricks and Robots" are designed with children's safety in mind, we cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur during classes. By enrolling your child, you acknowledge that participation in our courses involves a certain degree of risk, and that you voluntarily accept this risk.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We take your privacy very seriously. By using our services, you agree to our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy, which explain how we collect, use, and protect personal data. Your data will only be used in accordance with these policies, and we will never share your information with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be submitted exclusively to the competent courts in the Netherlands.

10. Communication and Behavior

We expect all communication between parents/guardians and our staff to be polite and respectful. Inappropriate communication may result in suspension or termination of enrollment.

11. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

"Bricks and Robots" reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. All updates will be posted on our website, and your continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We recommend that you review these Terms and Conditions regularly for any changes.

By proceeding with payment and registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
