Course Content

Give your child a head start in technology! Help them develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and technical abilities for the future.

Build and program robots with LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime and learn to program in Python. A hands-on course in small groups (up to 7 children).

No prior experience with Python is required. We'll start with the basics and learn, step by step, how to write real Python code to control motors, sensors, and robots.

Language: Dutch & English

What will you learn?

  • Python Basics

    Variables, functions, loops, and conditions.

  • LEGO® SPIKE™ API

Program the motors, sensors, buttons, and the display.

  • Robot Challenges

Apply your code to increasingly challenging robots and tasks.

Robotics & Mechanics

Children continue to build with the LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime set and apply their knowledge of mechanics, motors, and sensors to create increasingly challenging robots. The focus is on combining smart robot design with Python code, so that robots can move, measure, and respond to their environment with precision.

By building, programming, testing, and improving, children develop both their technical understanding and their programming skills.

Programming

Children make the transition from word-based programming to Python (MicroPython). They learn to work with variables, functions, loops, and conditional statements, and use the LEGO® SPIKE™ API to control motors, sensors, and the display.

By testing, improving, and expanding their code, children develop programming skills, logical thinking, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
