Course Content

At this level, children begin exploring robotics and programming with the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime set. They build various robot models, work with multiple motors and sensors, and learn to control their robots using block-based programming in Scratch.

The Prime level consists of three modules: Motion, Sensors, and Logic. The modules can be taken in any order and together form a complete Prime robotics program.

Robotics & Mechanics

Children work with the LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime set and build various robot models with multiple motors and sensors. They discover how mechanical parts work together and apply principles such as gear ratios, levers, and motion to make their robots function properly.

By building, testing, and adjusting, children learn to create robots that respond specifically to their environment, while further developing their technical understanding in a playful manner.

Programming

Children program their robots using Scratch (text-based blocks). They use logic, variables, and functions to make their robots move and respond in specific ways.

Through testing and adjusting, children learn to build their programs in a clear and efficient manner and develop their problem-solving skills and self-confidence in a playful way.
