At this level, children learn about robotics and programming in a playful way with the LEGO® SPIKE™ Essential robotics kit.
They build different robot models, discover how movement and sensors work, and learn to control their robots with word-based programming in the LEGO SPIKE app. The level consists of several modules, each with its own focus. Together, these modules form a complete foundation in robotics.

Language: Dutch & English

Robotics & Mechanics

Children build and program different robot models with LEGO® SPIKE™ Essential. They discover how parts and mechanisms work together and how forces, motion, and transmissions affect their robot's behavior.

Through experimentation, they learn to make their robots smarter and more efficient and develop their technical understanding.

Programming

Children program their robots with word-based blocks in the LEGO® SPIKE™ app. They make their robots move and react with sensors and use logic and repetition to create smart robot behavior.

This allows children to develop their logical thinking and problem-solving skills in a playful manner.
