Children learn step-by-step how to work with LEGO SPIKE Essential robots. They discover how robots move and react, practice with simple mechanics and programming in Scratch. During the projects, they are challenged to think creatively, collaborate and come up with solutions, further developing their engineering skills and logical thinking through play.
Robotics & Mechanics
Children learn the basics of robotics by building and programming new models step by step with LEGO SPIKE Essential. They discover how parts and mechanisms work together and how forces, motion and transmissions affect their robots.
By applying this knowledge, they can build robots that respond smarter and more efficiently while developing their engineering skills through play.
Programming
Children learn programming with a visual programming language based on Scratch (cubes) and are introduced to structured programming principles step by step. They learn, among other things:
Creating command sequences
Applying sensors
Developing algorithms to solve problems
Thus, they control their robot with increasing accuracy and learn to think like real programmers.
