Basic Level is for children ages 6-7 who are first introduced to LEGO robotics. In this course, they playfully discover the basics of robotics and programming. Each lesson they build a new robot project and learn step by step how their robot can move and react, with no previous experience necessary.

At this level, children playfully discover the world of robotics. They build robot models with their own hands, learn the basics of mechanics and apply them to make their robots move. They are also introduced to programming with the block-based LEGO SPIKE Essential set.

 
 

Robotics & Mechanics

Children learn how robots work, what parts and sensors they use, and how to build and program their own models. They discover basic principles of mechanics, such as forces, motion, gears and belts, and learn how these work together in a robot.

Programming

Children learn programming with blocks in the LEGO SPIKE Essential set, including movement, speed, repetition and the use of sensors such as the motion and tilt sensor. They build step-by-step commands to make their robot move and react, discovering how to create their first algorithms.

 
 

Data

The seven lessons will take place on Saturdays: January 10, 17, and 31; February 7 and 14; and March 7 and 14 (no lessons on January 24 or February 21 and 28).

13:30 - 15:00
Your child is also welcome to arrive 10-15 minutes before class starts.

Trial lesson and cancellation

New students can take the first lesson as a trial lesson follow. If you cancel within 48 hours of the first lesson, we will refund the remaining amount, minus an administrative fee of €35. After this period, the full course fee is non-refundable.

Instead of a refund, you can also receive a voucher for a future course or transfer to one of our online programs.
