Advanced Level 1 is for children ages 8-9 who are just starting out in robotics, or for younger children who have taken our basic courses or already have experience. They build on their skills and learn to program with a language based on Scratch.

Advanced Level 1 is for children ages 8-9 who are just starting out in robotics, or for younger children who have taken our basic courses or already have experience. They build on their skills and learn to program with a language based on Scratch.
Children get to work on more complex robot models, learning about mechanics as well as programming with the LEGO SPIKE Essential set. They are challenged to think creatively, collaborate and come up with solutions to technical problems. This course helps them develop critical thinking and technical skills.
Robotics & Mechanics
Children deepen their understanding of robotics by building and programming new models.
They are introduced to more sophisticated parts and mechanisms, and learn how forces, motion and transmission play a role in their designs.
They apply this knowledge to build smarter and more efficient robots.
Programming
The programming language is visual and based on Scratch (word blocks), which introduces children to more structured programming principles. They learn, among other things:
Creating command sequences
Applying sensors
Developing algorithms for problem solving
Thus, they control their robot with increasing accuracy and learn to think like real programmers.
Data
The 7 classes will take place on Saturdays in 2025: Aug. 30, 6, 13, 20, 27 September, 4 and 11 October.

Your child is also welcome to arrive 10-15 minutes before class starts.

Cancellation policy and trial period
We work with a trial period of two weeks. If you cancel before the third lesson, we will refund the money for the remaining lessons within a few days. This way you don't run any risk if your child finds the activity too exciting.
Note: This trial period applies only to new students who have not yet taken classes with us. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before class via email or our contact form.
