Yes, the LEGO SPIKE Essential set is required to participate in the course. It can be purchased from the official LEGO website or other authorized sellers. Please make sure to have the set before starting the course.
-
With the LEGO SPIKE Essential set, kids can build over 50 different robots. In the basic course, children will create 7 unique robots, and in the advanced course, they will complete an additional 30 projects. This set is designed to last for about a year of robotics learning. Afterward, your child can progress to the LEGO SPIKE Prime set, which is suitable for ages 10 and up but can also be used by younger children who have mastered the Essentials set. The LEGO SPIKE Prime set offers over 60-70 robots and allows your child to explore more complex coding concepts, including Python.
-
Not at all! The LEGO SPIKE kits are designed specifically for kids in this age group. Our course provides clear, step-by-step instructions to guide your child through building and programming. Additionally, if your child struggles with any part of the course, live support is available to assist.
-
In this course, your child will learn key STEM concepts such as science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), coding, and mechanical design. The hands-on projects allow kids to build real robots and solve practical problems. Our course fosters creativity, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. These skills will help your child not only understand how technology works but also apply it to real-world situations, increasing their interest in school subjects like math and science. By the end of the course, your child will have developed confidence, creativity, and a deeper understanding of technology.
-
Our Robotics classes are released weekly, but since the course is on-demand, your child can complete each lesson at their own pace. New lessons are released weekly to encourage consistent learning, helping kids form a regular routine.
-
In the beginner course, your child will follow guided instructions to build specific robots. As they gain confidence and skills, they will be able to improve on these models and add their own creative touches. In the advanced course, the LEGO SPIKE kit’s modularity allows your child to design and build their own robots. After building and programming at least 15 robots, your child will have the skills to start creating their own projects and ideas.
-
Robotics is an excellent way to introduce your child to the world of science and technology. It helps them develop problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking skills, which are essential for the future. Many parents introduce their children to robotics by purchasing kits online. However, learning robotics can be complex, and without proper guidance, kids may struggle. Our course uses the LEGO SPIKE sets, offering structured lessons and hands-on challenges that ensure a fun and educational experience. With our well-designed curriculum and online classes, you can confidently get your child started in robotics.
-
Yes! This course is designed specifically for beginners. Unlike traditional math and science lessons, robotics provides an engaging way for kids to learn STEM concepts. By working with real robots, kids gain hands-on experience and an understanding of how technology works in the real world. As a result, your child’s overall academic performance may improve as they develop problem-solving skills and a deeper interest in subjects like math and science.
-
Absolutely! Robotics isn’t about immediately making industry-ready robots—it’s about helping kids understand how technology, coding, and math work in real life. By building and programming robots, children learn how to solve problems and create solutions. These skills are incredibly important as robotics will continue to impact the future job market. As your child progresses through the course, they will develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of how technology shapes the world.
-
No, we use real LEGO SPIKE sets, not simulators. While simulators might be cheaper, they can’t replicate the hands-on experience of building and programming real robots. The excitement of connecting motors and sensors, and seeing the robots work, plays a crucial role in your child’s learning process. LEGO SPIKE sets are designed specifically for kids, ensuring safety and a high-quality educational experience.

Our course is developed by a real robotics school in the Netherlands with extensive experience teaching kids. We’ve tested our curriculum with many children, both offline and online, to ensure it’s engaging and effective. Our teachers are experienced and skilled in working with kids. Unlike many other online programs, we offer a structured and detailed curriculum to keep kids engaged and learning, without just playing with the LEGO kits. Our approach combines fun and learning with real challenges.
-
The LEGO SPIKE app offers some great guided lessons, but we don’t recommend relying on it alone. Our curriculum is much more detailed and tailored to engage kids. We focus on building a solid foundation in coding and problem-solving with structured lessons that challenge kids to build and program robots. The guided projects in our course ensure kids stay focused and learn for a meaningful 60-120 minutes per session, rather than just playing with the kits.
-
Each lesson is designed to take between 60-120 minutes. We recommend completing the lessons in one session without breaks to keep kids engaged. Afterward, make sure to disassemble the robot and put everything back in the box to keep the workspace tidy. It might be challenging at first, as kids often get attached to their creations, but it’s important to clean up so they’re ready for the next lesson.
-
Once your child completes the course, they’ll have lifetime access to the course materials in their account. You can also access live support for two weeks after finishing the course. After completing the basic course, your child can enroll in the advanced course without needing to buy a new set—just continue using the same LEGO SPIKE Essential set.
-
You can contact us via the online form after purchasing the course. Simply describe your problem or question in text, but feel free to also include a screenshot of the code if your question is related to coding, or even a video showing the issue you’re experiencing. You’re entitled to live support during the course duration and for two weeks after it finishes. You will receive answers via email or in the form of recorded videos or Zoom sessions to address your concerns.
